The seal that prevents your union fitting from leaking

The O-ring for the 1½ in. Mip'n Slip union fitting is the most common wear part in a pool plumbing system. With heating cycles, chemicals, and seasonal removal, the rubber hardens, flattens, and eventually lets water through—often a small seep at the base of the nut that is only noticed when a puddle appears under the pump.

This replacement O-ring restores a complete seal to the fitting without having to replace the entire union.

Use when

• water beads or leaks at the union nut connection;
• the pump loses its prime or draws air;
• you remove the pump, filter, or a valve for winterization or opening (the O-ring should always be replaced).

Installation in 2 minutes

Turn off the pump, unscrew the union nut, remove the old O-ring, clean the seat, install the new O-ring, and apply a silicone lubricant for pool parts. Hand-tighten only—never use a wrench or pliers, as they crush the O-ring and cause the very leak you are trying to fix.
