Stamped concrete is a monolithic surface (a single slab) with no joints, making it more stable and durable than paving stones. No weeds between the joints, no sinking, no shifting. It mimics the look of pavers or natural stone at a comparable or lower cost, with less long-term maintenance.
Yes, when properly installed. We use concrete formulated to withstand freeze-thaw cycles, rebar or mesh reinforcement, and a high-quality protective sealer. The sealer must be reapplied every 2-3 years to maintain protection and appearance.
No, if the finish is properly chosen. We add a non-slip agent to the sealer for applications around pools and spas. Some patterns (stone, rock) also have a naturally slip-resistant texture.
The work is generally completed in 3 to 5 business days, depending on the size and complexity of the project. This timeline covers the main stages of the job, from preparation to concrete finishing. Afterwards, a curing period is required before the sealer is applied.
You can generally walk on the concrete after 24 hours. It is important, however, to protect it at first and let it dry thoroughly before applying the sealer, so as not to trap moisture in the concrete.
