Description
Replacement O-ring for the junction box cover of a Carvin/Jacuzzi pool light. This is the part that prevents water and moisture from reaching the electrical connections: a dry, cracked, or flattened seal is the most common cause of water intrusion in a junction box—and a new seal costs a fraction of the price of redoing the wiring.
Made of nitrile (NBR) with a 70A durometer, resistant to chlorine, bromine, and water treatment chemicals. Standard AS568-151 size.

Installation Tip
Turn off the power at the circuit breaker before opening the junction box. Clean the groove in the cover before installing the new seal, and apply a thin layer of pool-safe silicone lubricant (never use petroleum-based products, which cause nitrile to swell). Tighten the cover screws evenly without crushing the seal.
