Ball Bearing (Bearing) Nachi Quest 6202-16-2NSE9

Description

NACHI Quest 6202-16-2NSE9 sealed ball bearing for pool and spa pump motors. 16 mm bore version of the 6202 bearing — this is the part that allows the motor shaft to turn freely and drive the impeller. A motor that squeaks, whistles, vibrates, or overheats is almost always a sign of a bearing nearing the end of its life.

Why the Quest range

Quest is NACHI's premium range, designed for applications that run for long periods in hot conditions — exactly the case of a pool pump motor that operates 8 to 12 hours a day all summer long.

  • Heat-resistant nitrile seals — the seal holds at high temperatures, where a standard seal hardens and lets water in
  • Twice the grease life compared to conventional formulations
  • Low noise and low torque — less drag on the motor, quieter operation
  • Compliant with ELV and RoHS directives

Specifications

  • Inner diameter (bore): 16 mm
  • Outer diameter: 35 mm

Direct replacement for: 6202-16-2RS, 6202/16-2RS, 620216, APC620216, NA-6202-16-LL, RBL-6202-16-LL, US Seal 6202-16, 5270-30A.

Check before ordering

The 6202 comes in two bores that look similar to the naked eye: 16 mm (this model) and 15 mm (standard 6202). A one-millimeter difference, and the bearing will not fit on the shaft. Measure your motor shaft or note the number stamped on the side of the worn bearing before choosing. Some motors use a different bearing at the front and rear.

Replacement tips

  • Replace both bearings at the same time. If one has failed, the other has undergone the same number of hours.
  • Change the shaft seal at the same time. The vast majority of bearing failures are caused by water leaking through a worn or improperly installed seal.
  • Press it in, applying pressure only to the inner ring. Hitting it with a hammer or pushing on the outer ring marks the raceways and destroys the new bearing in a few weeks.
